About

I moved to Helena in 2000 from Bozeman. Aside from a brief adventure in the Foreign Service, my husband and I have enjoyed settling here and putting down deep roots. I’ve enjoyed participating in many of the different facets of Helena, from the martial arts and dancing communities to planting trees with Growing Friends, preserving our historical Benton Avenue cemetery, and teaching adult classes in Tai Chi at the Senior Center.  I have two children, one in elementary and another in preschool.

My father was a high school math teacher, and he showed by example that education and caring for children and their future was necessary. I grew up absorbing this lesson. I have also learned that making decisions on data is just as necessary. Ethical decision making is baked into my career as a rehabilitation massage therapist, and it is a personal goal of mine to be as transparent as I can.

I see potential in this school district and all the kids of Helena. I want to help the administration see the community clearly.  I am good at taking in data and helping others understand it. I want to help make good community based decisions that will benefit all the students, now in the budget crunch and in the long term future.
